9.1 Ugandan Employers

Ugandan employers can support their employees, for example, with Schengen business visas, training/internship visas, or when transitioning to a skilled worker position by providing:

  • Work and employment confirmations (position, salary, duration of employment, leave period, prospects for return).
  • Certificates regarding necessary training measures in Germany (reason for the trip, specific programs).
  • Provision of company registration and tax documents as proof for self-employed individuals.

9.2 German Employers

German employers are key partners for skilled worker and work visas:

  • Drafting detailed employment contracts with job descriptions, salary (gross annual salary), working hours, probationary period, and contract duration.
  • Assistance with the recognition of qualifications (e.g., initiating ANABIN/ZAB procedures, recognition partnerships, supplementary qualification programs pursuant to Section 16d of the Residence Act).
  • Participation in the accelerated skilled worker procedure at the competent immigration office, which can shorten processing times.
  • Issuance of invitation letters for Schengen business visas, training visas, and preparatory interviews.

9.3 German Family Members

German citizens or Ugandan third-country nationals living in Germany can support family members from Uganda by:

  • Letters of invitation and, if necessary, declarations of commitment for Schengen visitor visas.
  • Provision of all documents for family reunification (certificates of residence, lease agreements, proof of income, BAMF decisions for persons entitled to protection).
  • Cooperation in document verification (providing additional information, contacting lawyers/notaries).
