- Complete resume.
- Hosting agreement or employment contract with a research institution (type of activity, position, duration, funding, name of the institution).
- Proof of relevant university degree (e.g., doctoral degree or degree granting access to doctoral programs).
- If applicable, recognition of the research institution/BAMF registration.
- Proof of sufficient financial means (e.g., at least €1,091/month for a scholarship; minimum wage for employment).
- Health insurance, visa fee €75, processing time usually 1–2 months.
